Description
Size: 16" wide x 14" high (40cm x 35cm)
No piecing in this pattern, apart from sewing the bag together.
Its a matter of laying and ironing the cut rectangles of plaid onto fusible interfacing. The raw edges of the rectangles are covered by strips of black, which are stitched down through all the layers.
Easy peasy!
Pattern available. Please email me for details.

First time I have seen this 'leaded glass' style used in a bag. Back a few years ago [in Canada] it was used to personalize oversized jackets. You'd make the fashion skin to resemble stained glass then hold all the quilting together and backing by stitching through the leading [black bias tape]. Jackets were bulky and warm and very ethnic looking. A friend went to class and made one. Her comments [not mine] very time and material intensive and expensive. She bought the 'kit' at class, for us pack rats all we need is a bit of time to nibble at the hord.
